Yes Sir the cluster for the speedometer was bad, so instead of replacing the whole cluster with another one, i just replaced the circuit board of the speedometer of the cluster, easy fix

I dont recall but i will check sometime, although the VSS isnt the issue i think, i will be replacing the speedometer cluster here shortly, still having trouble..grrrrrrrr

UPDATE!!!! The VX takes a "special" VSS, its the one at advance auto parts the brand name is Niehoff, Nippon Seiki. Cost anywhere between 100-125. I tried 5 speed senors, then i tried this one. WORKS...

okay, the little test worked. What i did was disconnected the VSS plug thing. Then put it in 2nd gear at 3,000 rpm and let the gas go, low and behold the cEL came on. So i know the wiring still...

also along with the speedometer not working the odometer doesnt work either and the shift light. But i think all of that works off of the VSS.
