Worn tires have much less rolling resistance. When I was researching RR, I learned that; it sounded like the worst bald tires would be better than the best new tires.

I don't think heavy wheels matter as much as other people think they do, but tires could. What sizes are we comparing?

I wondered about that too. We generally accept that extending the air dam is a good thing, but maybe that's not universal. Maybe on some cars letting the air go under is better than plowing even more...
