True. But back then you had to turn the gas motor car over with a hand crank because starters wern't invented yet and people were occasionally ending up with broken arms when the motor caught and spun the crank faster than you expected. It was harder for women. They had to get a man to start the car for them.
But gas was REAL cheap, and gas powered cars prevailed. (I won't get into the first oil co.)
Here we are 100+ years later and electric cars are here again being developed. But now the development will continue.
