Post a WTB in the WTB section of Honda-tech.com. There are a LOT of CA members on that board.

Does anyone know if the tailgate from other hatchbacks besides a VX would work? For example, would the tailgate from a teal DX work? Do the colors match and are they mechanically the same?

yes, other tailgates from 92-95 civics will work. Now getting a teal one that matches the fade might be hard, but maybe you can din one that isn't so noticeable.

I could just rebadge it with a VX sticker. The "badge" costs about $20 from the dealer.

If anyone has a teal tailgate from 92-95 please let me know.

When I was looking for a tailgate I found a few for around $200, then finally found one that needed some body work for $80. I got it from http://www.jarcoinc.com/

Jeebus! I let a clean white tailgate go for $20.....you can't give them away around here. I'll keep an eye out for one though.
