I don't speed anymore, but I do slowly roll though stop signs. I even got a ticket once because of it.

I pull up in my Saturn w/ make-shift moon hub caps, a big vacuum gauge mounted behind the steering wheel, and a HAI under the hood and go inside to aruge my case. I essentially tell them I've turned my driving style around and showed proof of gas receipts and MPG increasing over the past few months.

I explained that all the tickets were in my Camaro which I now only race on weekends at the track...

I am on driving probation for 1 year, but they let me keep my license.

Now that is a great story...the Judge probably thought you were a "nut case" and figured you were harmless...

I know that I set up my Garmin Street Pilot on a screen which keeps track of my average driving speed and top speed. If I ever get puller over I can always point to the display.

If you check, I've made a few posts regarding bicycles lately... I really thought they were going to take my license from me so I've been learning about cycle computers and shopping around on craigslist for a used 10 speed.

Not speeding and leaving early to get places it a lot easier in the long run.... that's for sure!

My garmin reads 600 mph max speed....yay for airplanes. (GPS is passive and my garmin doesn't have wireless any other way)

they don't know how long since you reset it. what if the max was 65 mph cuz you just got off the highway and now you're in a 25? I'm just sayin...

Most of the cops don't realize you can just reset top speed without losing any other parameters. I have not had to use this tactic, but it is there as a last resort.
