Was unable to download new Gas Cubby

So for some reason, instead of seeing the new Gas Cubby Free as my upgrade path, the App Store would only show the new paid version in Updates. I tried and tried to update and it would error out, saying it could not update. I rebooted my phone and tried again, to no avail. Finally, not thinking, I deleted the existing app on my phone so I could redownload and then realized I deleted my data. Is there any way to recover what I lost and restoring it to Gas Cubby Free?

Yes I am having the same problem with the Ausutralin app store.
I seemed to download it ok first on my iPad but stalled for my iPhone.

It's not just Gas Cubby, I can't download a few updates, from iOS and iTunes.

Yes I think it's the app store.
Unfortunately my iPhone lost some of its Gas Cubby data in the process so I have just gone through the process of a iTunes backup restore to get it back. Now I have to rejig some of my other apps to get them going properly. Never simple is it

I do not see anything in your Fuelly profile now. Have you logged in and setup sync (in the app)?

Apologies, but Apple/iTunes had some major issues the same day they approved GasCubby. It unfortunately hurt us more than perhaps other apps because folks were getting frustrated and thought the app was hanging/failing to install, and deleted it. Of course, deleting the app also purged your local data, which we needed to complete the migration!

We have NOT released GasCubby Free 3.0 yet! It'll be coming soon, as soon as things with the Pro(Paid) version settle down a bit. Unfortunately, in your situation it sounds like your data was lost when you deleted the app!
Do you have an iTunes or iCloud backup you can restore/recover from??

If you deleted the app from your phone there are a few things we can try:

If you were on the paid version and syncing with the GasCubby server then we might have a fairly fresh version of your data. Were you on FREE or Paid version of GasCubby?

If you deleted the app and were on the free version then you might be able to recover the data by doing a restore from iCloud. You can use Google to find instructions on how to do that. I think you have to recover your whole device, not just one app.

RobertV do you see any backup data from this username? This is my original username, I am not sure what happened in June to sign me up under the other name...

Your data was stored within the app you deleted.
The only way to get that back on the free version is to restore from a recent iPhone backup on your Mac or PC. There are instructions on this site for how to restore just the Gas Cubby app and not the whole iPhone restore.

There are huge problems with v3 that are still not resolved so, if you have a recent backup and can restore it then you are probably safeset to wait a few weeks till the v3 problems subside and they stop having massive data loss.
