Selecting what counts as running costs in aCar

G'day people,

I just purchased a vehicle, and added it to aCar. aCar asked me for the purchase price, but there were numerous additional expenses I want to track, like sales tax, registration, stamp duty, and the extended warranty, which I've added as separate expense items. There'll also be loan interest.

I wouldn't count any of these as 'running costs'. To me, running costs are petrol, fluids, maintenance, parts and repairs... basically, costs that are influenced by how far I drive it. I could be convinced that insurance and rego are running costs, but not loan interest and stamp duty. And yet, all of these are included in the 'total running costs' in the Statistics screen.

Is there way to mark an expense in aCar, so it won't be included as a running cost?
