I live in Livermore and work in Fremont. Keep us posted on a get-together. If I'm available I'll do my best to make it.
Thank you, L&S

Hi, I'm new, and getting terrible mileage.

I live in richmond and work in fairfield. Pretty soon here I'll be in school out in vacaville, and staying in vallejo on the weekends.

If you guys plan a meet I might show up. I'm actually getting ready to do a BBQ for Z cars that I've been planning for a month or so now. It's in the orinda area. I found this to be the most central and convenient location for our guys since we had people comming from Sacramento, San Jose, and later on we had guys sign up comming from fresno! It's hard to find parks with lots of parking in a nice area that you can cook food at.

Most of the car meets I've been to are held in areas with lots of stuff around. Places like Best Buys make a good meet location as they're's almost always spare parking at the back of the lot, and usualy lots of eateries within a short drive or a walk.

If I end up back in the Bay Area, I'd be down, though I'd be the boat anchor holding y'alls gas mileage down :P I would likely be in the South Bay.

I'm in the Benicia/Fairfield area. Since this meet apparently never occurred, let's actually plan one. I'm thinking we can meet at Foster's Bighorn in Rio Vista. It's a drive for everyone in the Bay Area, because it's not close to any o us, even the ones living in Fairfield.

Everyone top off their tanks at home before departing, and fill up when you arrive in Rio Vista. Save the receipts, and have a printout of your car's 2008 EPA combined mileage estimate. The person who beats the EPA estimate by the highest percentage for driving his/her car to the meet wins the prize, posting their photo with the Marco Polo Sheep that Foster's Bighorn is named after, on this website. For those of you who've never been there, the place is a hoot, and we can eat dinner there.

As for a date, I'll be out of town until August. How about a date near the Fall Equinox, September 21? Maybe Saturday September 19? 2 p.m., so we can compare cars before eating, have a late lunch/early dinner, and all get home before the cows come home?
