Obvio microcar

This funky little car sounds interesting assuming the US introduction in 2007 pans out. Not all that great on mileage for its size (1300 lbs. with 29MPG city, 40MPG highway). It has the same engine used in the MINI and is available with up to 250HP, which would make for some ridiculous 0 to 60 times. Also available as a 200HP electric with Li batteries and over 200 miles range. It can seat 3, but has no room for cargo. Projected price is $14,000 for the ICE version and $49,000 for the electric version.

250hp @ 1300lbs. Sounds fun.

If it's designed for e100 then won't it be difficult to run on straight up pump gas seeing the difference in octane? Perhaps it just knows? New cars and their fancy crap...

Anyway, they look pretty kickass. Hopefully some people out there will buy the EV. Not because I think it's worth the money, but yakno, when clooney drives one they might get mighty popular quick,

Wow.... I'd love one of those... the gas mileage is kinda silly though.

I remember reading about these on autoblog a while back. It looked like a college project that couldn't possibly go anywhere. I mean... backpacks included? But apparently they're driving around and everything. Hopefully they make a toned-down color scheme.

The mileage isn't insanely great, but it's really quite good for a new car. No American-brand car makes it to 40. Of the 12 cars that do, 6 are 1.9L VW diesels, and the rest Toyota or Honda. This is out of more than 1000 ratings.
