My previous car was my mom's

My previous car was my mom's 93 camry dx 5 speed, gets about 28-32 now, used to get a bit higher. Got like 37 on college visits road trip in vermont this summer though. Pretty soon I'll be able to say my former car was an auto crx (I'm converting it to a five speed) hopefully I'll go from 37 to 42+.

My last car was a 1995 Dodge

My last car was a 1995 Dodge Neon 5-speed. I could consistently get in the mid 40's on the highway with that car. My best mileage with the car was 47 coming home from a trip to Michigan. This was with my wife and two kids and whatever camping gear and clothes I could stuff in. My dad took the rest of it in the back of my grandpa's truck; which by the way is now mine.(1978 F-250 4-speed) Before my Neon I had a 1987 Plymouth Horizon with the 2.2 carbed engine and a 5-speed. I consistently got high 30's on the highway and once got 41 out of it.

A few cars

My first car was a 89 Dodge Ram 50. It was a small truck that had a small engine. Despite all of this, it only got about 15mpg. I think the tranny had something wrong with it.

Second car was a 2001 Nissan Sentra. I bought it brand new off of the lot. It topped out around 26mpg. I think it broke 30mpg on road trips.

Then I got the 2000 Jeep Wrangler. I remember being excited when I broke 20mpg on the freeway. Around town I got 14-16mpg (usually 14mpg).

Now I'm in this car, my 89 Civic. I get around 35-37mpg around town. I break 40mpg on road trips.

1992 Civic VX, B18A1 swap

1992 Civic VX, B18A1 swap turbocharged, 550cc/min injectors.

I got around 22 mpg with mixed driving [cruising in vacuum / whoopin' *** in boost].

I'm planning an all out race engine for my 88 hatch. I expect I'll get a little less mileage with 1000cc/min injectors.
