I would of only stripped the back of the car. Not the dash or the doors or where the shifter is. Your car is light as is. Focus on airdonamics, even cars that are 3500lbs work on their airdonamics and gain a lot of mpgs.

I understand. But before you spend money on seats consider doing a lot of airdonamic stuff first. I have only spent $30 on my airdonamic crap and I still have plenty of metal left.

the thing is, aerodynamic

the thing is, aerodynamic mods help your hwy mpg - they don't contribute to city efficiency.

weight reduction mainly helps your city mpg where you are constantly varying your speed.
