Agree with you. I think, "if I just go 5 MPH SLOWER, I can ADD more time driving on a trip(& enjoy my beautiful Washington state longer). & keeping it in top gear(without lugging), the trip is performed, using less fuel & money! Today on a Puget Sound trip, my manual Hyundai Elantra(badmouthed by leadfooters for bad MPG) computer registered as much as 56MPG.

Ha ha ha! I took your words to heart.... & DIDN'T stop, my last time, for a creamy maple nut ice cream on a home-made waffle cone. But, sumpun was missing...... it was the creamy maple nut ice cream on a home-made waffle cone. They pile so much ice cream on the cone, you have to stand by the near by coolers & lick really fast, or the ice cream melts before its gone. One little girl ordered the Bubble Gum ice cream, which is mostly blue. Half way through her cone, she was blue from head to toe.
