This may be similar to what you're trying, but I think I remember a way to route the cut at/near the injector's fuse(s).

Describe more about the bad running condition -- did it go into some sort...

CEL vs. ICO

If you have an SG, then it's a simple to reset the CEL -- a small price, IMO, to pay for confirmed injector cutoff.

Another way to see for sure if the injectors automatically perform this...
