I found out the other day that Wayne Gerdes (site owner) and a few of the other members over at www.cleanmpg.com have been contacting Ford Motor Company trying to get them to give me a new Ford Fiesta for my Escort with 506K miles. I'd appreciate anyone on this web site that would also put the word out to Ford. Maybe the more notifications they receive about this car the more curiousity it will stir up with Ford. Personally I think it would be good advertising for Ford and would also be good for their customer relations. Thanks for the help.

Wayne over at cleanmpg.com was not in a position to give out contact information, because it might jepordize his relations with Ford, but did say you could use twitter and send replies to @Ford and/or @FordFiesta and also suggested highlighting 506,000 MILE ESCORT.

I did a web search on www.fordmotorcompany.com and came up with some other contact information.

http://www.ford.com/owner-services/c...t/contact-ford

You can also email them at media@ford.com or I found the following page for contacting different departments within Ford.

https://secure.ford.com/footer/conta...=PublicAffairs

All help is appreciated!!!!

Re: 500k

Took a long time to get to 510K since my dad passed away on June 13, I've been out of town on three 1000+ mile round trips to mom's trying to help get things taken care of for her, getting my son moved in with mom to help her out and house hunting for my family. I have been driving other cars on the long journeys. In the 7 weeks that have passed since dad's death I think I've actually been home about 3 of those 7 weeks so that has decreased the use of the '88 Escort Pony considerablely. We have another trip to mom's scheduled for next month and are hoping that my wife can find a job in KY near where mom lives so we can relocate there and be of more help to her. My wifes parents are both dead now so we really don't have anything other than her job holding us to this area.

Re: 500k

Where in KY are you moving? I'm in Northern KY and I know a lot of people in a lot of different positions around the area. I also have family/friends in the Georgetown area, Lexington, and Louisville.

I could offer some help in finding a job and/or what neighborhoods to look for a good home in, in any of those areas.

Re: 500k

The area we are hoping to move to is somewhere within a 25 mile radius of Elkton, KY which is about 50 miles west of Bowling Green on highway 68/80.
