VT summers are pretty cool, but I've discovered my occasional passengers are much less tolerant of not having A/C than I am. The 12V clip on fans I've found online either are rated poorly or don't have many ratings at all (making me distrust them). Does anyone have a good one to recommend? Or are they not worth it? Thanks.
Maybe I should view this as a way to make them drive?

12v clip-on fans that I've bought cheaply at WalMart have been great in my camper. I don't know if I randomly bought the only good ones or if the reveiws are wrong. They're quiet, move a lot of air, and stay pointed whichever way I point them.
IIRC, they look just like this, including the switch on the looooong cord:
Maybe in a little while I'll go out to the camper and get brand/model info.
I am spoiled. I must have a/c. Now when no passengers are aboard I tend to not turn it on, but when it gets hot, I want it. Virginia summers are hot and humid.
Up here some people feel that way about heated seats and remote car starters.

Drat. I came extremely close to buying one at Walmart last week since I happened to be near it, but was afraid it'd stink. Of course, I did buy their cigarette lighter LED flashlight. The one that says on the back in fine print that you can't leave it charging for more than two hours, defeating the entire point of owning it. Sigh.

Me being so far away, you'd think I'd have learned to "buy now, return later". I considered using some 12V fans I ripped of some old power supplies, but decided it wasn't necessary for everything in my life to look like hell. I'm using a dishwasher squirrel cage blower on my elliptical, for example.

LOL, I can remember the first time I drove a car with heated seats. I had borrowed a friend's Jeep Cherokee. He had started it up, and warmed it up. Left the heated leather seats on high. After about 10 minutes I was getting really hot. I had turned off the heat, and opened a window, (In a blizzard)but I was still roasting in the truck. Then I noticed it had heated seats. I turned off the seat and all was well.
