I know that they can remove the limiter; a custom tune can be had for $200, not $500, and gives you more than just removal of the limit. However, I am on a forum with exactly the people who do that, and the very last thing they'd ever do is install one of those caps. It doesn't fit the image they want, and image is as important to them as speed/function.

Who cares about top speed though? No one drives around at the speed governor except ricers! Even if someone likes the look of the fastback, I doubt anyone would buy it to get a few more mph top speed.

Personally, I like the look, and like the idea of getting more mileage. If this ends up being competitively priced as compared to other fiberglass tops I'd buy one when I get my next truck. Imagine the mileage... A brand new 2009 GMC Sierra hybrid with the fastback shell on the rear...

Yeah, makes me wish I had a pickup instead of a Cherokee. No way to improve the back of that except maybe with a little tail

You can get a cap like that for the H3 pickup. Too bad the rest of the vehicle has the worst aero possible

You can always put a Kammback on a Cherokee, I've been considering building one for the back of my truck. I think I can engineer one that attaches to the rear window frame, so I don't lose the practicality of the camper shell.

The top speed discussion came from this idea:

It would sell like hotcakes based on speed alone.
Are their marketing people obtuse?

Yeah, that's what I was referring to. I really don't think something would sell like hotcakes because it increases top speed. People either care about looking cool, real world performance, or gas mileage!
