Air Dam and Bellypan Material

I just got a 4x8 sheet of coorigated plastic for free. Now's the time when the politicians are putting up their campaign signs, many city's have ordinances regulating where they can and can't be put, I called the city yard and asked if I could grab one that they had taken down for a project I was working on, they said I could have all I wanted.

Anyone use wood (plywood etc.)? Since, whole car bodies used to be made of wood, I'd think it would be suitable for some applications. (Painted or coated of course.)

wood is heavy. It does not bend easy. Those two things stop me from even considering it.
