Nice. No solar at my house yet because I still live with my parents who aren't particularly keen on doing anything that isn't immediately financially rewarding in order to help the environment. It's actually kind of strange that I have neo-con parents and I ended up being something of an eco-anarchist.

I tell you: children tend to become the opposite of their parents, they appear resent them that much .

I assume you are referring to electric on-demand heaters? the vast majority of systems installed in my area are gas, I've actually never even seen an electric in the Champlain valley. While still a fossil fuel, they consume way less to the stuff.

Yeah, I'm talking about the electric ones. Gas lines are a rarity in my area, so everything is electric.

Yeah, electric heat is not even concievable in my area, even with domestic hot water, you basiclly just do it grudgingly out of nessecity (no gas line near a rural home for instance) Unforutnately solar isn't quite as sexy an option here as it is down your way, but still viable.
