Greetings and Salutations.....

Hello. I am new to this particular forum and I would like to start out by saying hello to everyone that reads this posting and introducing myself a little. I currently drive an 01 Toyota Echo (automatic) and I'm interested in any advice that anyone can provide me with regarding increasing my current MPG (best average to date: 42.6 MPG). I already do several of the more common traits (i.e. proper tire inflation, reduced weight, slightly slower speeds, etc.) to increase my average and now I'm looking for any advice or hints to fine tune or even increase my efficiency. When you're sick you go see a professional doctor, so I'm here to learn from some practicing experts. Thank you in advance for any information that you can provide.

With Respect,
Zet

A ScanGauge II would show you quicker than we can tell you. Costs $170 but will pay for itself and can be used in 1996 and up vehicles. It has made most excellent drivers even better. If you look around some you may be able to find one for less, group buys are available at times.

Welcome to GasSavers.

Zetetic -

Welcome to GS! Like CO ZX2 said, the ScanGauge is the way to go, THE biofeedback device for all cars.

You can get it Amazon for $159.95. I think someone had mentioned a Group buy for $140 if I'm not mistaken.

So I guess one of my first questions would be, what does one have to do by definition to be considered a "hypermiler"?
