40 mpg is about all you'll ever get with an AT, but it still brings the effective cost of gas down from $4/gallon to $3/gallon - just from slowing down. It's a good feeling when fill-ups cost $50.
I forgot to mention that the 35.4 mpg was a mixture of city street/highway. The highest mpg I've ever gotten with Bob was about 42-43....on a long drive doing about 55.
You know how to get the best mpg out of Bob. All you have to do is train your right foot to obey. M u s t r e s i s t urge to pass . I set a scangauge on my wife's car to display trip cost. Those short 7 mile drives all cost >$1 apiece nowadays.
