I was poking around tirerack.com and noticed that they have a 2nd choice for 165/70 R13 tires avalible! this is a vast improvment over the only other tires in this size that they have offered, as they have a lower price, longer wear life, better traction, higher side wall presure, I hope the continue to carry these as it is a size that is not avalible in my area thru any of the tire stores in the phone book.
the 165/70-13 tires are slightly smaller around then 155/80-13 so your spedometer will be acurite with this size if, like in the case of the civic vx and crx hf, it is the recomended tire size, and is what they came with when new, and atleast with this new modle that they are offering, they are 51psi max presure, and over 500 on the wear life, both of those are mildly uncommen in 13" tires
I've mentioned these tires (and it's the Sumi HTR T4, not H4) probably a half a dozen times in various threads when someone asks about LRR tires in size 165/70/13. I bought a set of these in 175/70/13 at Sears last April for $37 each (on sale) because the 165s were $46 each. $41 at Tirerack is a great price. Wish I had gone w/ the 165s because my '95 Civic DX hatch w/ the VX/CX tranny registers about 4% too few miles with the incorrect 175 tire size.
The tires are awful in snow and ice and even in the rain, so beware...
