You may have to disconnect the car battery for about 10 minutes when you do the switch. The computer will have 'learned' the correct air/fuel ratio for your high octane and may ping with the lower octane. Resetting the computer (by disconnecting the batter) will allow the computer to re-learn your air/fuel ratio.
Thanks for advice. Think I might buy air intake kit

Thanks for that advice. Think I will buy air intake kit and then reset computer (disconnect battery method). All of you guys' comments have made me research and now I think I will install intake kit instead of using K&N stock air filter for my car. I found one on Ebay that comes with generic reusable filter for just over $70 including shipping. Not bad considering the K&N stock filter for 98 camry is $50. For $20 more I can get a CONE filter WITH the air intake kit. May not be a K&N filter but I can always swap their generic with a K&N if I want. What do you guys think??? Or should I just buy the $50 retangular K&N reusable filter made for my car intake?? Here is link to Ebay seller:
