Does any one know the differences between the VXs from year to year? The fueleconomy.gov website lists a '92 at 48/55 (old EPA rating) and a '94 at 47/56. Now I know it isn't much, but did anything change at all through the years?
Some auto makers nudge their EPA mileage numbers up slightly by using low rolling resistance tires on a new car. The 92 VX had Dunlop all season SP20's on it. I don't know if the later models used the Dunlop's also. If the 92 VX had been fitted with Bridgestone RE92 Potenzas when new, the EPA rating would have been higher still.
I thought about buying the best LRR tires for my VX but could not justify the increased cost to get a few more mpgs.
