6)68.1-8.3 miles(home)
Average for today: 61.5 Temp was ~32F this morning and got up to 57F.

The same thing happened to me. I actually saw a slight increase in FE with a new battery. Let us know if it seems to help.

I can usually tell, within about 5 mpg at the half-tank mark, what the final number will be. But I know -- you're standing there with the pump going, and you're saying to yourself, "stop, Stop, STOP!". Then it clicks and the calcs begin. Sometimes for the better...

Not a personal best, but very good performance in wet weather. Here's the info :

MPG : 47.0 (old best was 48.1, so a 1.02% decrease)
Route : 105 East -> 710 North -> 10 East -> exit freeway -> North on Rosemead
Miles : 35.7
MPH Avg : 40.5
MPH Max : 62
Net Elevation change : ~788 feet up (+210 on freeway, +578 on streets)
Weather : 56+ degrees F, Cloudy, 79.5% Humidity, 49.5 degrees F Dew Point
Time : ~7:45 PM to ~8:25 PM, ~45 minutes?

Observations : I like this run because of the drizzly wet weather that I thought would work against me. HAI/IAT temps running at about 130+ degrees F. I had one really good run behind a slow Semi on the 710 North that allowed me to be slower than the overall speed of traffic. If I had a few more breaks, it could have been my best for this run.

Just fueled up. 53.48 mpg. Scangauge average speed for tank was 32 mph. This is cool. I have front half belly pan now and real heated intake air. The heated intake air caused some error for the scangaugeII but not as much as fake heated intake air. It was only off about 2%. If I can trust the scangauge, I am beating 50 mpg at 60 mph now. In fact I have averaged dual direction runs at 70 mph beating 50 mpg. Working on rear wheel skirts now.

Average daily commute if done on secondary roads usually beats 60 mpg.

It appears my areo mods are working. Since I joined I added a lower grill block and a 4 inch air dam as well as raising the rear of my car about 3/4 of a inch.
I wanted to lower the front but was much easier to raise the rear on my sable.

Today with warm weather in the 50s and no wind I did a test run.
10 miles east/ west at 51 mph
west 41.9 mpg
east 42.8 mpg Average mpg..42.35
Previous best average on this test route last summer was 38.5 mpg.
