Gas went up again. I got stuck in 4th of July traffic for almost an hour, so the fuel economy suffered a bit.

Same thing. Back and forth. You'd think that the re-opening of the 405's carpool lane would make it a better drive, but it's actually more congested and insane than ever. That carpool lane isn't a fast track lane, either. It also is two lanes wide for a single lane, which defies explanation.

Bad traffic jams this week. In similar conditions, my last car would get about 13mpg, though, so I'm not complaining. Even at its worst, this car does better than my old car did under optimal conditions.

And... It's the start of summer here. The AC on the car seems to be bulletproof, though, and even when it was 100+ outside in the sun, I only had to put it on 2/10 for fan speed.

I took the car in to get the oil changed and they filled the tires to the wrong PSI (10 lbs too high all around). I hate having to double-check the work that gets done on my car.

Yes, $4.39 a gallon for regular gas. Good MPG, though. Now if they could fix the pavement along the 405 freeway. I swear I don't know if my back will go out first or my tires.

Summer fuel is better. Of course, the aggregate MPG is the same due to how they have already started to artificially gouge on the gas prices. I bet it hits $4.89 this summer.

Winter blend is finally going good-bye! I think there's still some old gas in the station tanks, but I notice the improvement. The next tank should be proper MPG, finally.

Commute is now almost all city. Ten minutes quicker. I lost 3 mpg total on Friday (instant mpg was at 0/5 for two hours) due to everyone panicking over the 405 closure. I have a few choice words for the 405 freeway this week, but so does everyone else I know.

Very cold in the mornings. Oxygenated winter blend gas. Idiots crashing their cars every day to work, creating massive traffic jams. (always at an interchange?) At least the stereo is good.
