Mostly canyons and mountains. A fair amount of highway and small town traffic mixed in. A few more passes than usual and some straight-away shots. PR2 is really sticking nicely. I'm very please with it so far. Even traded with a friend so he could experience the rush. No comparison. He was a little sad after riding mine. Told you so!

She's running very happily, feels effortless when passing cars one or two at a time, it doesn't matter. Also, it does appear that my riding style has changed and it is contributing to or is the sole reason for the abrupt boost in mile efficiency.

273.4 229.1 to res. Mostly highway. Doing laps and stopping to take pics. Forgot my wallet. Pulled into station 30 miles from home. Doh! Had to ride 10 miles out of my way to get my wallet and p/u fuel. It all worked out. 125 WOT at 8K' AMSL short run and another 110 two-fer pass. 87 AKI all the way!

Wild hair doing laps on my favorite far off roads. Ran into another ZX-9R rider around diner time. He wasn't riding, but came over to check the bike out. He brought up how he also purchased an '05 ZX-10R, but it gobbled fuel up and beat him up riding the street. He said what we always hear, the 10R goes about 125 miles before it needs fueling, has a tiny fuel tank, but the 9R just goes forever and you can ride it all day without it beating you up. Yup!

Doing power wheelies for a brief period. Froze myself and rode through several downpours, but the water was brief. Gas station I topped off at before today's ride must have been serving rocker fuel. 225 to reserve. It's no fluke.

With some slower riders and one straight lining hyperbike rider today. Visited the private road again, only because after discovering it I passed it on to the hyperbike rider, whose eyes light up. We did one visit to 145 MPH. Afterwards I asked him if he always rode like that. "Hell no!" he said. I also took him into the one ridged canyon and set him straight.

2x 130 Tire pressures were a little high and the front chattered a little under hard cornering until it was reduced to 38 psi. Grip returned and pass quickened back to normal. Where'd everybody go?

Seems that the local low speed stuff doesn't hurt the figures as much as the hard on the throttle stuff I've been doing lately. Started with 87 AKI, moved to 89 at mid-day, then back to 87 which is in there now.

Mixing it up with a CBR-1000RR in tight stuff and cruising in the range where we shouldn't be. Both of us were dragging knee right in front of a LEO and he didn't even throw a warning light, nothing. No respect!

Hot as heck. Lots of stops. Highway speeds were more reasonable, thank goodness. Canyon speeds weren't, but then again, it's the 4th of July. It's time to celebrate! A couple of close calls too, due to idiots making illegal turns in blind corners. I made it fine, but the followers had to negotiate the stupid.

Jun 30 2013

Out and back three times. Took one section in lower gearing just for the effect of having the exhaust note sound racy. Keeping a solid pace. Wore the sliders down about half way on both sides. Other riders said it looked like I was intentionally swinging corners out wide in order to touch down in every one. Seriously comfortable on the bike today.

Exploratory pine needles, sand and salt. 87 AKI the whole way. Surprised, since the hwy ride to the starting point resulted in a very high initial MPG. But alas, all the up and down slow corners and the three laps we did was some intense riding. It all evened out.
