Lots of passing, then stopping waiting for emergency vehicles to move far enough ahead that I can ride cleanly, then passing the slow cars again. Learning to take corners in 5th gear.

Getting a little crazy with an unknown rider who challenged me. He wanted to race in residential areas and I insisted no. We got out to the country and it took me just a couple of turns to put my nose out front. A couple turns later, I was gone.

Pure 87 octane (AKI) with 10% ethanol. The same stuff I've been using, so no change there. Few passing attempts and even then, I just rolled on the throttle or held my speed.

Wringing its neck in the canyons with several other liter bikes. Those other bikes were taking on 50-60% more fuel...and I was the one out front pushing the pace!

Mixture of 87/89 octane, oxygenated and with 10-15% ethanol. All highway, with a few stops here and there for pictures. 216.4 to first fuel up, which was before reserve was tripped. Ran an additional 49.0. Fuel for each was 3.679 and 0.938 respectively. I may have fixed a dragging disc brake problem on the rear. It was creating a lot of wheel drag. The new HH pads are in correctly this time.

218 miles to reserve and about average for fuel consumption. If I wasn't so lazy, I'd switch the jetting to Winter mode and really watch the MPG skyrocket.

Filled up with 0.5g just to get home, then topped off with 4.71g. Extremely windy today too, so that probably accounted for the difference from 55 MPG. Based on my calculation the tank would have run dry at 267 miles. As it was I ran it out to 252, the splash took me to 278 and the tank showed there was still 15 miles of fuel left at that point.

Large group ride this past Sunday, at a decent pace. Four summits and lots of tight high RPM hairpins. Most fueled up twice during the day, the rest fueled at least once. I fueled up the day before and the day after. No sweat!

Range to reserve was never this high before in this configuration: 220.6. 89 octane used, but that's what I've been running in it. I did do some high RPM runs on the motor in a different jetting configuration, but it's back to the 'free lunch' settings.
