Ran very nicely. Had realigned the rear wheel to center the chain on the sprocket better. Seems to run OK even though the wheel is now displaced a little over 1/2 degree.

Nice ride! Added 5 clicks rebound to the rear shock which did seem to take out the little rebound bump it had. Rides nice and solid with both ends pretty much feeling the same so the machine takes big dips level. Ran absolutely great today! High pressure and high 60's adds up to big torque. Ran the whole thing gently trying to get a decent fuel consumption number to calibrate the FuelBot. It said 51.5 so this tank was 51.69..pretty close!

This is the second attempt at calibrating the new FuelBot2 which is a lot harder than the first version. Last tank the Bot said 53.8 where it was actually 49 or so, but I might have over-filled that time. Since then, I've marked inside the neck so from now on it should be more consistent. The Bot said 48.2 so it's too low...need to adjust.

First good ride of the new season! The longer swingarm worked very nicely, and all the negative reports are way wrong. Problem lies in that people also lower when they stretch and it's the lowering where things go wrong. Bike only takes a tiny bit more lean to get around a corner now...and the resistance to wheelies and softer ride are much appreciated.

Last ride with stock swingarm length. Softened shock to 30 clicks both compression and rebound...seemed to ride well. 34920 odometer.

Very nice day! Broke my normal 'weekend only' rule as I've not been able to ride for the last couple weekends....so it being mid 70's out and getting off work early it was a no brainer...GO RIDE!!:) Bike ran great....and I'd swear it's smoother with the ported sources blocked individually vs at the 'T' where each could rob from the other. Might be in my head...but it did run nice today.

Nice fall ride! Went out at 56F, came back about 63. Was dressed for it and had a nice ride. Trees are starting to turn colors...pretty. Bike runs great when it's cool, but doesn't get the mileage like it does when it's hot out. Oh well..

First ride on new back tire. Man...feels good with fresh rubber! Trying 40 psi for this tire to see if the wear changes. Seems to handle just fine and am hoping to get over 6500 miles like the last couple went.

Went back to the 3" exhaust tube...best compromise of torque and power I've found. Engine seemed to be running rough today, but it might just be me and the weather.

1.25" shorter baffle insert today. Did seem to soften the throttle response a bit, though it might have hurt the top end hit. Need more testing to verify. Bike ran well...pretty chilly out there! Used to 80's and 90's and it was high 60's when I left and barely 74 now. Had the leathers all zipped up. Engine vibes were a little stronger...thinking it's the IAT bumping the timing up.

Went back to my short baffle....it just seems the best compromise. Much smoother down low than with the longer ones, and the power comes up nicely with revs.

Jul 26 2015

This run had experimental baffle..full length with two sets of 'gill' slots thinking that the low speed tuning would be unaffected while reducing top end restriction. First ride was positive! Torque down low much improved, while it didn't seem to be choking in the midrange...the power came up strong like before. Didn't run it out to redline...doing efficiency tests first...but so far, I'm happy with the baffle.

Nice warm day...87F on the porch. Bike always seems to get its' best mileage when it's hot out. Filled on the side stand at home...subtracted the 4.7 miles from station to here, then refilled on the stand which 'should' be accurate. Did NOT play around on this tank...pretty much straight economy running with a 70 mph cap out on the mountain part.
