Runs great with the fuel controller set a bit earlier without seemingly hurting the mileage potential. I had leaned down the mainjet a click before the last ride so it pulled nice and strong up on the top end now where before it felt a little soft. VERY fine line between enough and too much it seems. Very fun bike!!

Ran it a bit hard today working on transitions and came to the decision to lower the 'in' points on all segments. It's just a wee bit too lean although it runs well like this. Will be more responsive and have a little more power per degree of throttle since the adjustment. (I hope)

First ride with the intake restriction meter. BARELY was able to get it to pull up one click..which is great! The airbox w/snorkel isn't restrictive at all.:) Bike runs really, really well.

First ride with new Shinko 009 rear tire. It works just fine! Actually like the handling and don't notice much difference from the 011 except maybe it is smoother when transitioning to the lean a little bit. But I had it cranked over to within 1/4" of the edge with total confidence. Can't be beaten for the money! Will have to see how long it lasts compared to the 011 and then do a cost analysis to see what goes on next.

Last ride on the rear Shinko 011. Was showing the cords beneath the rubber in the middle when I got home! Can't quite wear out the 'arrow' tread-ends it seems...but now I know how much is left on them and won't get caught out on a trip. Went 6600 miles...not bad for me and the 1K.:)

Ran the loop, mountain up 711 and down the Summit. Ran most excellently.:) Not going to play with the mixtures anymore....it's about as good as it's going to get. On the porch right now..just coming from the gas station it's showing 55.6, so if I were a saint...it could get 55+. Not too shabby for a liter-bike.:)

Beautiful mid 80's day. LOTS of traffic needing passed..so I did. Could easily better this mileage but I'm only human. Did a nice 110+ run up the Summit on this one too. Looks like it's efficient enough to allow some hard running without destroying the mileage. Good.:)

At 70 miles, I moved the pilot initiation setting up to 4 clicks away from the bottom just to see how it went. Wow! It is much sharper right off idle and engine braking more effective. The light throttle power is better too! Going to have to think about this one a bit.:)

Mountain run from Wanesburgh to home. Pushed a strong headwind most of the way...and ran close to 80 indicated the whole time..except for brief 100+ blasts up some of the grades to pass people and show them who was Boss.:)

Took a click off the midrange mixture to see if it would run better. Awesome running bike now.:) This tank includes running the Brother on the Kawasaki from the lights on RT51 back toward town. Got him.:) Seems to have a kick now around 7-8K that I don't remember before..but it GETS IT.

Normal route + run up the mountain to Cumberland at 68 and then back. Dodging rain the whole time...almost successfully! Only hit about 2 miles of wet the whole time..but DID have to run like hell a couple places to avoid getting drenched. Fun.:)

First run with new 18/42 gearing. Runs great like this! Even more power and the engine doesn't feel short-winded at all. This is still a bit taller than stock gearing...so it's all good.

Seafoam, short baffle w/no jetting. Also, Exxon seems to have pump cal problems compared to Shell. It's right on the numbers (fuel bot) at Shell, always off on Exxon. Trying to stick with Shell.

Second run, first mountain run with new motor. Took to 9K a few times WOT...YES!!! Added baffle to TRS muffler and it seems the bottom end is more crisp. Didn't hurt mileage or power AFAICT. Wonderful running bike now! Doesn't seem to get 'quite' the same mileage, but it's only got 320 miles now on the piston so they're still breaking in.

Did a LOT of WOT adjustments on the FI. Started lean, but rough. Stopped several times adding fuel which smoothed it out and made the throttle real sensitive. LOTS of power with little movement.:) Ended up backing the needle down a notch. 2,3,2.5,2,4,5
