This run was largely not worrying about mileage, just having fun.:) Engine runs nicely set like this, with great torque hitting the next gear after a change. Was concerned that taking so much fuel away might make it boggy...nope! Hit the gear and give it a half-throttle whack and it punches you in the ass.:)

2nd run with 'final' tune. Ran up 711 after coming down and back through Ohiopyle so this run is slightly lower. Putted though town to visit Becky, again hurting the ave. But it still went high 180's before first warning. MUCH better than before.:) And bike cold-started without adding throttle and ran great.

This 'should' be the final ECU tune. -10,-20,-30,-30,-10,0 Runs great. With 1K resistor in IAT. Very smooth, yet strong. Good economy for sure with lots of torque down low. Easy to ride. Idle 14:1 give or take a tenth or two. Cruise 3500 @15-16:1 nice and smooth. No misfiring. Happy.:)

First part of this tank had the TEKA attached, and this was what caused the lean freakout. Took it off, ECU set to -0-'s with 1Kohm in IAT. Ran great! Last 70 miles without TEKA attached and it ran solid..no heatsoak issues. Will lean it a bit for tomorrow's test. Ran one-way valve on breather too. Excellent!

This run was up to RT68 and had over an hour of 80+mph running. LOTS of WOT checking the fueling..and it's pretty happy. Got ragged once the temperatures came up, thinking the IAT sensor is the culprit. Will investigate. Running this hard, it would have been in the low 40's before, so this result is spectacular. Happiness.:)

First ride with TEKA tune. Runs MUCH nicer leaned WAY, WAY down. This was -20,-80,-50,-20,-20 for idle,10,25,50,75 and 100% throttle settings. This is JUST rich enough for good behaviour out on the road...it idles very lean and was popping a little once it hot-soaked the IAT sensor. GOing to probably richen up the idle 5% and take that same out of the 10% to arrive at same cruise and hopefully help the hot idle.

Very beautiful day! First ride on the T-Hawk T3 rear tire...so far, I like it.:) Temp was about 80F so the A/F did lean down like expected, but it's still fat, fat, fat. TEKA box coming tomorrow so next weekend should see an improvement.

Apr 12 2014

This run had the ported vacuum 'T' vented into the bottom of the airbox so it's a leak. It DID clean up the very light throttle settings a bit, but still not nearly enough as it's still running fat as hell. But a step in the right direction!

71F nice weather! Windy though, and it played hell busting ass through the headwinds here and there. Found the mixture VERY fat if cruising at 4000 or over. Free-rev to same and it goes FAT. So I should be able to tune that out when the TEKA box arrives.:) Bike runs STRONG now. Happiness. This was last ride on 009 rear tire...will go Tomahawk next.

First 'official' ride of the season! I'd had it out last weekend but had drained the fuel several times over the winter so the results weren't valid. Have the wide-band working now! VERY interesting...and it shows we've got potential to increase the mileage by a significant amount. Will work on it.:)

Kind of a bonus ride today! Hit mid 60's by the end, though I started out at 56 or so. They haven't salted/ashed the roads yet, so they were fine though wet in places. Bike ran SO well.:)

Beautiful fall day! Hit 59F on one billboard but mostly 54-55 and colder up on the mountain. Finally got to run Ohiopyle route with the new 400lb spring...and it is great! VERY happy with the bike now. Runs excellently and rides/handles super. Now...the challenge of making it better over the winter!:)

VERY nice crisp fall day! Bright sunshine and high air pressure. Started out at 52 and got up to 56 indicated along the way. Felt pretty good all bundled up inside the leathers. Bike ran awesome as usual. Had a little trouble cold starting from 60, but once fired up we were good.

Was only 50-55 yesterday and today, and only one tank for both rides as I was inbetween showers yesterday and cold.:) Bike ran awesomely!!! It really likes the cold air, and pulled super strong. Also had the new 400lb rear spring installed..much improved! Had to make a couple little changes for today but the bike is composed over bumps now like it's never been.

Went back to slow flashing first light...one step on for low speed mixture. Dropped the second stage activation one notch too. Runs smoother and seems to be about as good as it can be. Iridium plugs and 400lb/in spring next!

Nice autumn day! Low 70's, tried setting the low speed mixture turned off...seems OK. Will run next tank like that. Also took a click off the midrange while in the box. Runs OK!!:) Have a new 400lb spring ordered for the rear shock to replace the 525 Kidney Buster on there now. Hope it smooths it out a bit. We'll see.

Oct 6 2013

Beautiful autumn day, mid to high 80's and high pressure system in place. Other than the gusty winds, an ideal day for good mileage. Bike is running well..so nothing to report there. The Fuel-Bot was within .002 gallons when I filled up.:) Amazing. It is damn close when just putting around, but gets off a little when running it hard for some reason.???

Sep 22 2013

Suspension test today...lots more rebound cranked in, and I like it! Feels better planted and doesn't kick nearly so hard over the big bumps. Very nice.:) Ran the bike a little hard in some places just because it felt so good so the mileage took a hit. But it's nice this package can be run without destroying the mileage..it's pretty darn efficient.

Nice run today. Started out at 67F and ended up almost 80. Sunny and high pressure. Upped the midrange and top end mixture by one click because it was feeling just a tad lean this morning in the cool fresh air. This adjustment made it feel a LOT more powerful! Still seems to get good mileage set like this...so it'll stay, or until I think of something else.

Fueled up at Exxon because I was worried that I'd not be able to make it down to Masontown. 196 miles! Only put in 3.8 gallons so I had 20+ left...that's pretty impressive! Put the K&N filter back in for this ride and the power is back! Synched the TB's when I got home and it was still warm as I'd not done this since putting in the new top-end. Was off a little bit..so now it's dead perfect.:) Might make it run a little smoother next time out.:)

This run was with stock air filter, and surprisingly (not) it was WAY down on power. Funny thing is the restriction only was a bit higher...like a couple-three inches of water more..but man, it really was down on the torque. Didn't want to pull to redline in third up the mountain past the dam. Puzzled!
